Saina Bhandari is honored to be recognized as an NCWIT National Honorable Mention and Virginia/DC winner for her contributions to technology.

Saina Bhandari won 1st in TSA Website Design, 3rd in TSA Software Development, and 3rd in Photographic Technology in the state for her projects, focusing on diversity, usability, and efficiency with these solutions. She has placed 2nd in Photographic Technology and Debating Technological Issues in her region. She is also a finalist for Medical Tech, Off the Grid, and Debating Technological Issues. She is the captain for Off the Grid and Debating Technological Issues.

Girls who Code certificate for sucessfully completing the Girls Who Code Web Development Security Case Study.

Saina Bhandari is passionate about learning and has received certifications in Data Science from Kode with Klossy and Web Design from Girls Who Code. She is also a two-time winner of the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence.

Saina is dancing is the full Kuchipudi Costume, which is a blue/gold dress with golden jewelry and full makeup. She is doing a pose where she is holding both her index finger and thumb pressed against each other and other 3 fingers kept straight upwards, each of the fingers away from one another, and bring that hand gesture towards each other while her left leg is bended against her right.

Saina Bhandari performed her solo performance for Kuchipudi Dance, awarded SAMPADA Junior Certification for 16 college credits and is currently pursuing the SAMPADA Diploma in Dance. She has also performed for prestigious events such as the 50th International Kuchipudi Festival.

Data Visualization using SQLite and Tableau to increase awareness and give opportunities for Women in STEM. It has three visualizations highlighting different areas of gender bias in the Forbes Top 50 AI startups, including a pie chart with the number of Female CEOs, a stacked-bar graph of the industries where the companies are there, and a bar graph with the funding secured for each company. It provides resources for girls to get involved with technology.

The code of the project Plant Health Checker with python in Replit.

Plant Health Checker

This project utlized python to check the health of plants and plant beds. It uses a quiz to check for common problems with plants/plantbeds. It provides the number of points from 0-10 and a ranking to determine the health. Ideal for novice growers, it has three differtent plant categories and 60 plant types, and two different categories for plant beds with 10 plant bed types, along with a feature to add new types/names for plants for better usability.

Tutor At NorthSouth Foundation

CS and Science Tutor for NorthSouth, an international non-profit working on achieving academic success for Indian-American Students. Profits from these classes fund college tuition for students in India.

IAVAteens Founder and Director

Leading events including panel discussions for teens with over 40 students in attendance. Another event she is leading, IAVAteen Teentank, awards internships and mentorships to rising 8th graders and above with medical, technical, and business professionals, along with Virginia's Commonwealth Attorney, Shannon Taylor, and Delegate David Owens. Lead a Teens + Seniors event, teaching technical skills to seniors with 50 people in attendance.

Graphic Design

Designing flyers for local non-profits, including Henrico Humane Society for October’s Halloween Cards, and Christmas Ornament Cards and flyers for IAVAteen Events, TeenTank, and Launch.

DRMUN IV Director of Technology

In charge of maintaining and working on the conference’s website with languages including HTML/CSS and Javascript. Managing the photos and other media, along with other technical aspects to support the conference’s online presence and operations.
