About Me
Saina Bhandari is a rising sophomore at the Center for Informational Technology in Deep Run, Glen Allen, Virginia. She has been passionate about technology since elementary school, where her journey began with learning Scratch. She won 1st in the Website Design competition at the State-level TSA conference and placed 2nd in two TSA regional competitions. Furthermore, Saina founded Scratch Coding Club in 8th grade and taught students about Scratch, covering topics such as coding games and 3D animation, and this was aimed to generate interest in computer science. Now, she is a member of her school's robotics team and teaches children about STEM and advocates for STEM legislature, attending the state and national Advocacy Conferences, talking to congresswomen/men. She serves as her school’s Model UN Director of Technology. She's excited about her journey in Tech.
Passions
Saina Bhandari is passionate about the Math behind the Model.
Since she was little, she has always been curious, dreaming of being an astronaut because of the unfamiliarity around it. She is passionate about exploring new fields, driving me to explore AI. She has always been passionate about math, starting when she drew a Girl who was A Mathematician when she was a child. She is passionate about promoting girls in underrepresented STEM fields, serving as her school’s Girls of CIT (Center of Information Technology) club secretary. She has also attended various women in tech conferences, including the RVATech WIT Conference and Capital One's Future Leaders Forum for Young Women. She is recently exploring fields of neuroscience and physics, open to learning and mentorship! She is passionate about technology, proficient in languages such as Scratch, Python, SQLite, and HTML/CSS. In her free time, you can see her dancing, debating, at a mun conference, or playing tennis.
